8 New Emerson-Kershaw Partnership Knives

We have recently took delivery of eight new Kershaw Emerson knife models.  These knives are the product of Emerson Knives and Kershaw Knives joining forces to manufacture affordable replicas of some of Ernest Emerson's iconic knife designs.  This partnership has made it possible for everyone, no matter what your budget is, to own an Emerson designed knife.

Kershaw knives knew the power of the Emerson Knife brand and they had the manufacturing capacity and expertise to expand the Emerson name into previously untouched markets. 

The 8 new 2014 Kershaw Emerson knives were picked from Ernest Emerson's design portfolio of approximately 150 actual working and prototype knife designs.  The selected knives were chosen so that budget priced Emerson knives could be available to all. These knives are Emerson's designs, 100% start to finish and the only changes were to the mounting hardware so they would fit with the Kershaw manufacturing process.

Kershaw knives was approved by Emerson because they are an honest company and because they make tremendous knives and have the horsepower to handle the anticipated volumes.

Overall, the Kershaw Emerson Knife alliance combines the precision engineering of Kershaw with Emerson's uncompromising functional design at a great price, so good that the Emerson-Kershaw was awarded the coveted "Best Buy" award at the 2014 Blade Show.

New 2013 Emerson Super Karambit

Today I got the chance to handle the new for 2013 Emerson Super Karambit.  

Shown above is the Black Emerson Super Karambit.  The handles appear to be unchanged but whats immediately noticeable is the new grind on the tip of the blade which significantly increases the tip strength.

Shown here in the closed position you can see the blade nests nicely in the handle.  The "Emerson Wave" feature snags the corner of your pocket on withdrawal and automatically opens the blade.  These ready-for-action self-defense knives are the fastest opening knives out-of-the-pocket in the world!

The knife is very visible in the pocket because of the highride clip but it's lightning fast into action!  There's really is no way around the clip placement for a karambit, so if you want discrete concealed carry consider clipping it inside the waistband and cover it with an un-tucked shirt.

Other than the new blade grind this highly sought after karambit retains all the proven features of its predecessor.  Read more...
