Goodbye Fanny Pack, Hello Ribz Front Pack

The new RIBZ front pack is a great addition to your gear! An excellent choice for hikers, kayakers, bikers, ultralight backpackers and recreational photographers.  It  distributes gear evenly along un-used portions of the body where you can reach it!  Anyone who needs quick access to gear will love the Ribz front pack
It's made of 210d water resistant ripstop nylon. All components are water resistant and have proven durability in the most extreme of conditions. Available in two sizes with 500+ or 700+ cubic inches, you can comfortably carry up to 10 pounds in the front packs. The pack weighs only 10.7 oz.

The use of a front pack positions a portion of your weight forward which reduces your overall shoulder stress and increases comfort, mobility and balance. A front pack also creates the illusion of carrying a lighter load.

Though the RIBZ front pack was designed with ultralight backpacking intentions, any outdoor activity where easy access of equipment is critical is where it proves beneficial. RIBZ front pack can be used alone as a vest but is primarily designed to work with your existing backpack as a means of increased functionality.

Build your own Bug-out Survival Kit

Disaster could happen at any given time.  Be better prepared with your own bug-out survival kit.A Bug out bag is basically a big survival kit that contains all of the items you would require to survive after a disaster. A Bug Out Bag allows you to grab what you need quickly and evacuate should a disaster happen.

Most experts suggest that your BOB should contain enough supplies to last for at least seventy two hours. Since most major disasters can disrupt services and normal life for longer than 72 hours, we think it is a good idea to have a Bag that will allow you survive for an indefinite period of time.

Make sure your Bag is built to fit your needs. When putting your bag together take into consideration any special needs or items that you or your family might need.

Basics of a Survival Kit
  • Fire/Warmth
  • Signaling
  • Water/Food
  • Shelter/Protection
  • Navigation
  • Medical
  • Knives & Tools
  • Multi Purpose/Miscellaneous
Kit Styles
  • Basic 72 hour Kits
  • Disaster Preparedness Kits
  • Hunter/Wilderness Kits
  • Hiking/Backpacking Kits
  • Ocean/Saltwater Kits
  • Urban Survival Kits
  • BOB’S (Bug Out Bag’s)
Survival kits can range in price from $100.00 to several thousand dollars depending on the components and some components (i.e. Handgun) are expensive.  When constructing your survival kit make sure all of your kit components are quality survival products (you don't want to have a failure when lives are at stake).

Depending on your targeted use, kits can be as small as a waterproof match container to pallet size.  I've even made a super compact, lightweight and complete basic survival kit which fits in my Tilley Hat!  Here's a picture...
Oso Grande carries a wide range of bug-out "grab-and-go" bags which are excellent for you to use in building your custom bug-out bag we also carry complete ready-to-go survival kits and survival kit components which are sold separately for use in constructing your own custom survival kit.
