Spyderco C154PPN Squeak Folding Knife, 2 Inch PlainEdge N690CO Blade, Pink FRN Handles
Produced in Maniago, the Squeak SLIPIT is a Spyderco non-locking one-hand open, clip carry folder called a SLIPIT. It's designed for legally-restricted carry in locales where locking folders are prohibited.
The blade is ground full-flat and made from Austrian Bohler-Uddeholm's N690Co steel. N690C0 is high-carbon steel with added cobalt for structural uniformity resulting in enhanced edge retention and sharpening receptivity. Textured jimping is machined from the blade's spine and choil for increased slip resistance.
The Squeak's blade is held in the open position when cutting by a notched-joint at the knife's pivot. When closing the blade, the notch generates resistance functionally similar to traditional slip-joint penknife and performs the additional function of smoothing the motion of the blade opening. Increasing control and comfort Spyderco designers add a deep finger choil, naturally jogging the index finger into a position on the underside of the blade directly below the thumb. Positioning the index finger in this choil blocks the blade from accidental closing when cutting and provides a grip position that allows the user to choke-up closer to the cutting edge for greater dexterity.
The handle is FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) and engineered for user comfort whether in the hand, with ergonomic handle texturing, or in the pocket with a reversible tip-up deep pocket wire clip.
Specifications:
- Blade Length: 2" (51 mm)
- Cutting Edge: 1-3/4" (44 mm)
- Blade Thickness: 1/8" (3 mm)
- Overall Length: 5-1/32" (128 mm)
- Closed Length: 3-1/8" (79 mm)
- Hole Diameter: 15/32" (12 mm)

Spyderco Pingo Orange EDC Folder
A collaborative effort of Danish knifemakers Jens Anso and Jesper Voxnaes, the Spyderco Pingo was specifically designed to conform to the knife laws of Denmark, which prohibit both lock-blade folding knives and all forms of one-hand-opening knives.
A collaborative effort of Danish knifemakers Jens Anso and Jesper Voxnaes, the Spyderco Pingo was specifically designed to conform to the knife laws of Denmark, which prohibit both lock-blade folding knives and all forms of one-hand-opening knives.
The heart of the Pingo is its distinctive sheepfoot blade, which is ground from Bohler-Uddeholm's premium N690Co stainless steel. The blade is designed to meet Danish legal length limits while still providing a very functional and versatile cutting tool. Its Trademark Round Hole clearly identifies it as a Spyderco knife and provides a handy purchase for two-handed opening, but the hole is purposely small to prevent one-handed blade-opening methods. Similarly, its stout notched-joint mechanism is powered by a strong spring that helps hold the blade securely in the open and closed positions, supporting its safe use as a cutting tool while precluding one-handed opening.
The Pingo's handle is comprised of injection-molded orange fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) scales and a sturdy stainless steel back spacer. The scales feature a molded checkered texturing that ensures a secure grip without being too abrasive. A reversible deep-pocket wire clip provides both left and right-side tip-up carry, keeping the knife accessible for immediate use while blending unobtrusively with virtually any color of clothing.
Although designed to meet the unique needs of the Danish knife community, the Pingo's versatile design and socially friendly demeanor make it a perfect choice for knife users everywhere. It not only transcends the limits of the traditional non-locking pocketknife, but also redefines Spyderco's own definition of a SLIPIT because of its purposeful two-hand-opening design.

Boker Pipsqueak Blackwood Folding Knife
The first Boker folding knife designed by Neil Blackwood. The Pipsqueak successfully resists being classified into a particular category. Depending on the point of view, it is either the "smallest big knife" or the "biggest small knife". The width of the blade and the handle, as well as the thickness of the material, are characteristic of a tactical folder, whereas the overall length and the proportions of the knife fit into the category of small and compact knives. The solid titanium frame is capped with a green canvas Micarta scale, and the back side forms an extremely sturdy framelock mechanism. The spacer in the handle is also made of Micarta, and protrudes like a dorsal fin at the tip of the handle. The beautiful line of the blade is emphasized by the striking two-tone finish. For this masterpiece, Boker chose the high performance steel S35VN. As an extra feature, the clip reflects the overall outline of this impressive piece. The ultimate knife, based on the design of a legendary knifemaker, which will inspire both the collector and the user. Blade length: 2 5/8". Overall length: 6 1/4". Weight: 4.7 oz.

Boker Orca Outdoor Gen 2 Fixed Blade
I was handling the new Boker Orca Outdoor Gen 2 fixed blade and was really impressed with the quality and heft of this newly revised model. Boker has combined the best features of the Orca and Beluga models to create the new Orca Outdoor Gen 2.
The full tang construction, now made of N690BO steel, provides incredible strength and chopping abilities.
The three dimensional contoured handle scales made of blasted green canvas Micarta provide outstanding ergonomics and a very secure grip, even under wet or cold conditions.
If one prefers a flat design, the handle scales can be detached, for a look and feel more like the old Beluga model. The U.S. made sheath by Spec-Ops completes this rugged package.

Dovo Redwood Prima Klang Straight Razor
The deluxe Dovo 25 Prima Klang straight razor has gold etching on a carbon steel blade forged in Solingen, Germany. This style is the finest straight razor edge produced by Dovo, and it is very delicate and extremely sharp. The handle is excellent quality redwood. The blade is 5/8" wide. The carbon steel blade has these advantages: the edge is easier to sharpen and the blade generally holds an edge better. However, if not dried properly, or if it is exposed to humidity or dampness, a carbon blade will rust. The blade has a very fine and vulnerable cutting edge. Cutting other materials than beard hair may damage or destroy it. Careful stropping of the blade before shaving maintains the blade's cutting ability for several months, but too much pressure on the strop can damage the fine cutting edge. After use, the blade and handle have to be cleaned and dried carefully. In case of long term storage, the blade should be lubricated and entirely covered by oil. Complete with a blue metallic case. Imported directly from Dovo in Solingen, Gemany.
Dovo handcrafts their straight razors in Solingen, Germany, the "City of Blades" that is known for producing the world's finest swords, knives, scissors and razors. Today, the "Solingen" mark is synonymous with high quality and superb design and 90% of all German knives are made in Solingen. The Solingen tradition of metal-working began with Medieval sword smiths and the specialized expertise has been passed down through the generations. Dovo blades are crafted using the same methods of blank forging, ice tempering, hardening, grinding, honing and polishing. Each blade is finished with a 24K-gold Dovo logo. Dovo strives to exceed the high standards set by the early sword smiths by handcrafting high quality, functional straight razors of superb design.
